In the fall of 2023, I decided to write a MATLAB GUI that incorporates most of the AGMA standard for calculating gear stress and fatigue life.

The solver allows a user to adjust a wide range of parameters including load factors, geometry and manufacturing factors, and material. As is specified in the AGMA standard, it generates four factors of safety, two for each gear in the pair, all of which must be evaluated when designing a machine.
